Having sat plenty of music exams, I know they can feel daunting, but with the right preparation it becomes something to look forward to. I work with students to build genuine confidence alongside technical ability — so that when exam day arrives, they feel ready.
Every element of the exam is covered in lessons: pieces, scales, sight-reading, aural tests, and any viva or theory components. Progress is steady, methodical, and always at a pace that suits the individual student.
Exam Boards
ABRSM
Grades 1–8 practical and theory examinations considered. One of the most widely recognised grading systems in the world, accepted by schools, colleges, and universities.
Rock School
Grades 1–8 considered across contemporary instruments. Ideal for students whose musical interests lean towards rock, pop, and modern styles.
Theory Exams
Music theory preparation considered at all levels — from the basics of notation and rhythm through to harmony, counterpoint, and analysis.
Practical Performance
Focused preparation for performance-based assessments, recitals, and auditions — building stage confidence as well as technical precision.
